Activities completed till now by HRTC district network

1.Interaction program to form HRTC network at Dhankuta district

The HRTC Network Formation program was organized by Good Governance Club, Dhankuta in coordination with RECPHEC and District Health Office Dhankuta on 10th April 2012 at District Health Office, Dhankuta. The program was chaired by Mr. Khadka Bahadur Chapagai, CDO of Dhankuta district and the program was fascinated by Mr. Bidhur Subedi, RJ of Radio Lali Gurans station. The main objectives of the program were highlighted by Mr. Hukum Prasad Dahal, member from Good Governance club Dhankuta. Presentations were made by Mr. Jhalak Sharma Poudyel, Chief of District Health Office, Mr. Omkar Neupane, Sub- CDO, and Ms. Bhumika Shrestha, representative from RECPHEC and Mr. Sudip Shrestha, Treasurer from HRTC Illam. The presentations highlighted on the consequences of tobacco use and scenario of tobacco control law. A HRTC network was formed with involvement of 21 organizations. A commitment paper was signed by 36 members who stated that from today we all will fight for the implementation of tobacco control law and will spread the awareness in each of our organization and members.  IEC materials on tobacco were distributed to all the participants of the program. The program was formally ended with a speech by Mr Hukum Prasad Dahal at 5:30 PM.
